Oh, Mr. Schuester

Have you seen Glee? I was a little skeptical, but it turns out that
the show is incredibly entertaining.

I especially love Mr. Schuester (aka Matthew Morrison). He's adorable
and I love the way that he dresses on the show. Oh, and he's coming
out with an album that he describes as a cross between Justin
Timberlake & Michael Bublé. What could be better?

Hey, Soul Sister

I want a boy to write a cute song like this about me.

Answers:

So far only 4 people have asked questions. The rest of you are on my list. (Ok, you can be on my list again if you participate in this.)

My answers are BOLDED.

Shacklyn asked:
#1: what is your favorite thing about me? The fact that I boss you around and you let me
#2: If you had to choose between matching P.J.s and sprinkels which one would you pick? Matching P.J.'s - it is important to look professional at all times.
#3: What is better Gossip Girls or Real Housewives? I only really like the New Jersey Housewives. I love me some Nate Archibald though.
#4: Who was ur first crush? Tough. Like real life or celebrity? Real life: probably Z.E. or P.J. in high school (and no I will not type out the names). Celebrity: Justin Timberlake
#5: If you could be anyone from any Disney movie who would you be? I assume you mean cartoon movie. I'd want to be the Little Mermaid mainly because I wish I could wear a purple bikini top everyday.
#6: If you could work on any Disneyland Attraction what would it be and why? The horse-drawn carriage in the front, so that I could pretend I was wish Ginger all day long. HAHAHA.

My fab cousin Amy asked:
1. What is the one cosmetic that you cannot live without? Urban Decay's Primer Potion (here). I seriously won't put on eyeshadow without it. It's a little pricey for a 'base' but I can make one tube last 6 months. I'm special.
2. What is the favorite thing about your job? Transforming people's smiles. Seriously, it's amazing some of the things we do.
3. What destination do you want to visit, but haven't yet? Paris.
4. Current fav outfit? (Pictures please!) My wardrobe is currently in a bit of a funk. I feel like I wear the same thing everyday (wait, I do). When I'm not wearing scrubs I try to be cute, but lately I've really been struggling. I'll work on this and post a pic soon.
5. Fav holiday and why? Maybe include a fav memory or two. This might seem weird but I'm at a stage in life where I'm not really into holidays (bad, I know). But, I still love Christmas. I love how my mom gets the house decorated all fancy and mainly I love listening to my Donny Osmond Christmas cd. Haha.
6. What is the best thing that you cook or bake? Um, I make a really good German Chocolate cake. Luckily Betty Crocker helps me out!
7. How many handbags do you really own? Personally, I have 10 D&B's (no other brands).

My life coach asked:
1. paper or plastic? Neither. I'd rather go naked than hurt the environment. Haha.
2. soup or salad? Soup- Rumbi's, Salad- Cafe Rio
3. cookies or milk? Is this a trick question?
4. slooshies or diet coke? Both please.
5. me or Jenn Jenn? No comment.

Elayna (aka 'The Bird') asked:
1. What is your favorite, pink, item of clothing? Hum, very hard. I love anything and everything pink. I have been known to wear an entirely pink ensemble.
2. Do you have a favorite DB purse? Probably my pink one in this post. I really love it, but I am so afraid that I am going to get it dirty and ruin it so I hardly ever use it. (Issues, I know!)
3. What finger do you like to wear rings on, and what is the ring size? If I'm up at The BYU I wear it on my ring finger on my left hand. Any other time I wear rings on my right hand ring finger. I have between a 5 1/2 to a 6 ring size. (I have small fingers, why can't my butt be that small?)
4. Favorite thing from Chili's? Chips & Salsa. Yum.
5. What day does the Basketball season start? ;) Today!!! (I'm watching while typing.)
6. How do you like your new room (since you've moved upstairs)? I really like it because it is pink. I very much do not like that I am sharing a bathroom with my teenage sisters.

Rules to live by:

It is ok to have bad days, but everyone else doesn't need to hear about it.

Dani-lee 101

So, I have this good idea for my bog to help me connect better with my readers (all 5 of you). I ran the idea past Lady Gaga (aka Shacklyn) and she agreed that it was indeed a good idea.

So, I thought that I would open up my blog to let you ask me questions. Nothing is off limits (ok, maybe somethings) so you can pretty much ask everything you've ever wanted to know about yours truly. You can even ask the questions anonymously if you're afraid.

Shacklyn-you had better ask me a question, or else I'm over to you.

Thriller.

Last night I went to go see Thriller. Why, you might ask? Because, when you work at a luxury office like mine and have a great boss, you get to do fun things every now and then. So, anyway, I was a little freaked out by all of these children running around breathing down people's necks. Rest assured that I remained calm and luckily they all left me alone.

I didn't really know what to expect from the show. I guess I thought it was going to be a tribute to MJ or something, but it turned out to be a grown up, Halloween-inspired, somewhat disturbing dance recital. Yeah. But, it's always fun to spend time with my co-workers, my boss and his wife outside of the office. We all get to dress a lot fancier.

P.S. Em- sorry your head is cut-off. It's the demon-child's fault.

Update.

-I went to work today. Probably not the best idea.

-My nutritional intake for the past 2 days has consisted of Sprite and nothing else. Back when I was 12 I would have been thrilled (it was my fav drink), but now it's just too sugary for me. Eww.

-I keep hearing of more and more people getting the Swine flu. Eww, again.

-I'm going to see 'Thriller' tomorrow (as long as I'm feeling better), it should be quite luxury.

-That's all for now.

Struggs.

I am at home sick with the stomach flu. It is very unluxury.

Also, I am over to my iPhone. It keeps turning off for no apparent
reason. Today I was having a very important conversation with my
cousin about 'New Moon' tickets and it turned off. Whatever to Apple.

Also, I have been forced to watch multiple episodes of 'The Hills'
today because I can't find the channel changer. I was thoroughly
disgusted. Even in my semi-contious state.

That is all for now. Wish me luck. (This is a really bad flu, but I'm
90% sure it isn't Swine flu. Yuck.)

Bad Decisions.

I just got off of the phone with my Life Coach. We talked about a lot of stuff, including: boys, my blog, church, church holidays, work and her kitchen remodel. I also got to talk to this young gentleman, Captain Hooks Sparrow (he gets his pirate movies a little mixed up).
I was told that I make bad decisions and that I should be coming down there for Halloween. I agree. I'll do my best to rectify the situation (pronounced sitch-e-a-shun) and come down there ASAP.

Note to self:

You may have too many Dooney & Bourke watches when you are cleaning out your closet and you find one that you didn't even know you had.

Today.

-I plan on listening to a lot of Beyonce.
-I'm going to change my purse. Again.
-I will do some organizing in my room.
-I'll paint my toenails. I'm thinking purple. Thoughts?
-I'll watch the BYU game with my Dad.
-I'll ask Jacqueline if 'The Italian' added her on Facebook. I'll do this every hour.
-I'll try to stay off of Twitter because I divulge way too much information on there.
-I'll wish that the Jazz pre-season game against the Clippers was on t.v.
-I'll watch the Angles game and text Peter.
-I'll worry about things at work, even though it's a Saturday.
-I'll read my Jen Lancaster book. So, so funny.
-I'll tell my dad how to play a video game that we're trying to beat. It's a team effort.
-I'll try not to over-analyze things. Ha.

DJ Dan.

We have an in-house DJ at my place. He sits in the kitchen every night starting at about 8 PM, goes on YouTube, then plays us his favorite songs. We make fun of him, but truly, it's actually quite enlightening to listen to some true musical geniuses (far beyond my normal scope of Jesse McCartney and other top 20 songs). Tonight I sat and listened to the 'set list' for a good half and hour. The DJ spun hits from The Beatles, Joni Mitchell and also this song which I think is quite beautiful:

If you're looking for a DJ for your next party or corporate event, call me. I obviously have some great connections. haha.

Happy Sweet 16, Camilley!

I can't believe that my baby sister is turning 16! I remember when we brought Camilley home from the hospital. We hadn't had a baby at our house for such a long time, and it was so much fun having our own baby doll around. Camille is probably my best friend. We get along like two peas in a pod.

Here are 16 reason why I love Camille:
1. Her nickname is Cameo. Awesome.
2. She's gorgeous. Seriously, the girl has flawless skin, perfectly shaped brows, and long California girl hair.
3. She steals my stuff, but I know that it just means I've taught her to have good taste.
4. She's awkward.
5. She is 'always' willing to go with you.
6. She will always help me with my hair.
7. I can pretty much bribe her to do anything by letting her use my stuff.
8. She's very artistic and has a good eye for style.
9. She is great with kids.
10. She is very helpful and is always willing to lend a hand.
11. She's always up for a photoshoot.
12. She cried when she saw Edward come on the screen the first time that she saw Twilight.
13. She is very even tempered and doesn't get upset very easily.
14. I often come home and find her napping in my bed. Oh, Cameo.
15. Homegirl can sing. Like, really sing. She's got some pipes.
16. She's just a really nice girl. I think that everyone one that knows her would agree that she is just a joy to be around.

I love you, Camilley.

I'm a little early...

But I can't stop listening to Christmas music. It's cold outside so I think it's perfectly appropriate. My favorite Christmas album is from Mr. Osmond himself. (Don't be thinking I'm weird, because quite a few people I know agree with me.) Seriously, it's good. I would burn you a copy and send it to you, but something is wrong with my computer and I can't burn cd's anymore. Whatever.

Anyway, my favorite song on the album is 'Mary, Did You Know?'. I like to sing along with it. Usually when I'm by myself driving to work at the crack of dawn. Onetime I was taking Jacqueline to the airport really early and I turned it on and serenaded her. I know she loved it.

So, last week, Jacqueline was having a hard time waking up (it was well past noon), and so I went down and turned on her iPod to this song and started performing for her. Something about the magic of my voice woke her from her deep slumbers and helped her prepare to start her day. She then told me I was crazy. Whatever to her.

*Please note that I 'really' can't sing. Like, really.

Second look.

You know how sometimes you're driving around and you see a really
random license plate. I was lucky enough to see two in one day. Look
closely.

This put a smile on my face.

I think he is absolutely adorable. Like I go weak in the knees just looking at him. Luckily his new cd comes out next Tuesday, October 13. I'm so there to buy it, it's insane. (Shacklyn, what movie is this from?)

Pandora.

I can't remember if I've ever blogged about pandora.com before. Let me just tell you that it's wonderful. It's a 'customizable radio station' that you make for yourself. Go to the website, sign up with your email (don't worry they never even send you anything) and then you're free to start being a DJ. All you have to do is type in an artist or song title and it will create a station based on that. It's like magic. They even have an app for it. Awesome.

My 2 current fav stations are: Michael Buble & Sara Bareilles. Seriously makes work go by a lot quicker when you have great music to listen to.

You're welcome.

Guess Who's Back?

Thank goodness. The Jazz season 'unofficially' starts today. I get to spend my nights in front of the t.v. watching this guy work his magic. Awesome.
