One Hot Mess of a Week.

By now most of y'all know that my mom and I were in an accident this week. We were on our way to work on Tuesday morning when it happened. (**Since my mom started working at the orthodontist office where I work, I 'always' drive in the morning and she 'always' drives home in the afternoon. My dad had made me some eggs and so she told me should would drive so I could eat them. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise.**) We left the house at about 6 am and the roads were really icy and snowy (the plows/salt trucks hadn't been out yet). We were going really slow, about 40 mph, with the rest of the traffic. We were just about to Thanksgiving Point when we hit ice and started spinning around on the freeway (miraculously we didn't hit anyone while spinning). We spun a few times and then crashed into the median, spun again and ended up facing oncoming traffic. Our airbags deployed and when I first opened my eyes and saw the headlights headed our way I thought that we were on the opposite side of the freeway. (Scary!) My mom started saying that we needed to get out of car because she thought someone was going to crash into us. I just kept saying NO, get into the back seat on my side since so if someone does you won't be on the side of impact, but she couldn't move. I called 911 and told them everything and then we just waited. Those might have been the longest few minutes in my life. After a few minutes an off-dute highway patrol man pulled up with his lights on and blocked off a few lanes off traffic so that people would be diverted. He came and made sure that we were ok, and my mom told him that she thought her arm was broken. My mom was panicked because she couldn't find her glasses (they were eventually found in the trunk!!). After what seemed like even longer, the paramedics and fire truck arrived and got us out of car and checked out my mom. They told her that her arm was broken but other than that both of us checked out fine. They said that we could either go to the ER or our family Dr. My dad was already on his way so we decided to go to our family Dr (he took care of my arm when I broke it when I was 12, so we knew he had everything in his office to take care of it). My dad came and picked us up and we made our way to the dr's. They took and x-ray and sure enough it was broken. She now has a pink cast that goes up almost to her shoulder. (Is it bad that I'm slightly jealous?) She's been a trooper and was back to work the next day.

We are so, so lucky that we were able to walk away from this with such minor injuries. It really could have been so much worse and we are both grateful that no one else was injured (there were cars all around us when we were spinning). There is no other way to explain how everything turned out other than to say we definitely had some guardian angels watching over us that day.

My mom was pretty emotional and I just kept telling her that everything would be fine and everything happens for a reason. We all know that I am not a crier, and I managed to stay stoic the whole morning until later on when I was on my way to work and I was talking to my Life Coach and realized how serious this could have been. Thanks, X-tina!!! (JK, I love you.)

Thank you to everyone for all of your calls, messages, gifts and love that you have sent our way this week. We are lucky to have such great people in our lives and know that our Heavenly Father was definitely looking over us that day.

Nevermind.

A while ago I posted that I thought 'Bachelor' Jake was cute and I'd go for him. I take it back. No thank you! I get the whole 'getting emotional' business, but you've known these girls for what a week? Don't think I'm cold hearted or anything, but when the guy I love wants to come cry on my shoulder, I don't want him crying into a tranny's shoulder 5 minutes later.

The end.

Awesome.

So, we got this new Cone Beam CT scanner at my office and it is seriously the coolest thing ever. We had a lady come and train us on Friday, and I got the be the 'volunteer' to have a scan done. This is what I look like underneath it all:Pretty cool, huh?
Here is my panoramic x-ray of my jaw. You can clearly see that I have a deviated septum in my nose!! (Call Dr. 90210). You can also see that I have a cloudy sinus on the right side. (Duh, I've been sick).

I'm thinking of making the first pic my profile pic on Facebook. Thoughts?

Once upon a time,

I had a Birthday. I have just been really busy and haven't had time to blog about the glorious celebration of my birth. The festivities began a few days before my actual birthday when we celebrated at work. My friend Emily asked me what I wanted for my b-day treat and I asked for an 'Edible Arrangement'. (She specialized it with 'Hello Kitty'). I have wanted an Edible Arrangement for a while and it was rather luxury. *Please note the Hello Kitty pineapple.I went to work on my birthday and my friends gave me some very luxury gifts. That night I went out to dinner with the family to Outback.

Then we came home and I opened my presents. I got many luxury things, including a pink pots & pans set for when I 'grow up'.
My mom also got me another pink Christmas tree with fun ornaments.
I had a wonderful day thanks to all of my luxury friends and family and your lovely birthday wishes and gifts. Thank you!

LOVED it.

We went and saw this last weekend. I was so, so, so adorable. I simply adore Matthew Goode (fell in love with him in 'Chasing Liberty'). He fits all my requirements for a crush: tall, dark & handsome. Plus, Amy Adams' wardrobe was impeccable. I really want to go to Ireland now and fall in love with a local with a x-exy accent. So, get your lover and go see this asap.

*X-tina, please ask your assistant to pick me up a copy of this when it arrives at your local 'video store'. Thank you.

A must read.

I just read this book. It only took about an hour (I skipped the whole
section on how to drink fabulously). It was filled with very useful
information. Clinton and I think very much alike on moat issues. I was
reading the book and thinking 'who doesn't know this already?'.
Apparently some people just aren't as fabulous or luxury as others.
So, do yourself a favor and pick up this book. (I rented mine from the
library, my new fav obsession).

"On the wings of love"

HOTT! I'd fly with him any day.

The girls on the other hand were all HTM's. Who else is watching this season?

I'm obsessed,

with this game: http://helicoptergame.net/

Seriously, it's addicting. Gabby and Kim showed it to me. My high score is only 799, so try to beat me if you can.
