I went and got a mani/pedi yesterday and I got my toes done in this color, Cajun Shrimp. Don't worry though, it won't make you crave seafood. It really looks like watermelon on your toes. So, look for it next time you're at the nail salon.
And, I got my nails 'did' in this, Got a Date to-Knight. (Though I had no date. Whatever.)
Remember a long time ago when you tagged me on your blog? Well, I took the picture on my phone and I thought that I emailed it to my blog, but apparently it never went through. I promise I wasn't ignoring you. So, here you go: Here are the rules: Take a picture of yourself right now, no primping or preparing. Just snap the picture. Load onto your blog. Tag 3 people to play… remember if you are tagged on another blog we will all be heading to yours to see if you played along.
The three people I’m tagging are: Jac, Jenn (please include T.B. in the photo), Chrissi (please have Jac help you)
Seriously, I don't know how I communicated before texting was invented. If you need to get a hold of me, don't call, send a text. I love having conversations via text (especially late at night with people I haven't talked to for a while).
I really try not to drink Diet Coke very often (cause it's really not great for you), but a cold can of coke is the 'perfect' summer time treat.
My sisters got out of school yesterday, so it's 'officially' summer! Wahoo.
Today I was talking to my dear friend Elayna ('The Bird') on my way home from work. I congratulated her on her recent graduation from UVU (woohoo) and she mentioned that my name was also on the program (fancy). So, I 'officially' graduated without even knowing it. I hope people cheered when my name was called.
This is not one of my favorite things. I bought these the other day thinking that it would be a good way to start out my tan for the summer. To my surprise I am orange and streaky today. According to the infomercial and the sales girl at the store this is 'like the best tan ever'. Ok, let me save you the $20 and just tell you not to buy this. Stick with the Jergens gradual tanning lotion.
a new wallet. I love the one that I have now but it is starting to look a bit hammered and I don't want it to get any worse. I'd like to find something pretty cheap (considering the fact that I already have 4 D&B wallets that were not cheap) but fun and summery (and preferably pink). So, if you see anything while you're out and about please let me know.
Camille has this one in blue and it's pretty cute.
*Jacqueline this is mostly for you. Please find me one.
I've done this once before (see here), but I thought that it would be luxury to have this be a regular thing on my blog (and it might help me to be a better blogger.) So, here are a few of the things that I've been loving lately:
I love OPI polish as much as the next girl, but sometimes it is a bit pricey (especially when you want to buy every color). So, I found this great replacement at Walgreens. (See all the wonderful colors here.) The quality obviously isn't as great but the colors are vibrant and you can't beat the price. I think that if you invest in good base and top coats this polish will be good. (Or you can just be luxury like my life coach and get a mani/pedi every 2 weeks.)
These are an absolute MUST have. They are the best tweezers I've ever had. I buy the mini ones because they're about 1/2 the price and they do the same thing! I'm on my 3rd set right now, but I need to send my older ones in because they do free sharpening for life. I just got some cute pink ones (my older ones are purple polka-dots and plain old silver). If you can find them on sale get them immediately. If not, they range in price from $9-12 which is a steal considering all the money you'll save on eyebrow waxing.
This conditioner smells like 'Paradise in a bottle'. I didn't get the shampoo but it smelled just as lovely. I got it at my favorite store (Target) and they even had a mail-in rebate to try it for free. I loved it so much that I've bought it again in a different flavor, 'Mocha Chocolate'. Yum.
My Life Coach likes me to curl my hair. I like to too, but the style usually falls out after a few hours. (Curse my fine hair.) So, yesterday after I had curled my hair I put some of this stuff in it. I've had it for a while and never have found the perfect way to use it, but now I'm addicted. My style lasted all day (even after 4 hours of babysitting). Bonus - it's cheap! (Chrissi- when you buy this make sure it's the paste and not the wax. And, notice I said when not if.)
I've heard about this mascara quite a bit. Sephora always sends me emails about it and finally I broke down and bought some. I know that $25 seems a bit extreme for 1 tube of mascara, but it was definitely worth every penny. The brush is incredible and my lashes have never looked better.
Ok, enough about beauty products (I honestly could go on all day.) Let me tell you about my new fav musician. His name is Amos Lee and his voice is just so x-exy. These are just a few of my favorite songs:
Ok, that is all I can think of for today. But, I'll be sure to let all of y'all know about what else I find.
This morning I went on a walk up Provo Canyon with my Dad & Dooney. It was very luxury. Utah really is a pretty place and that's about the only thing that makes living here tolerable.
I am mostly recovered from the swine flu so I went out and spent a lot of money today. I will call you later with all the details, but I thought you would want to see this cute ring I just got. It's just so Dani-lee.
