Did you know,

That Vanilla Ice has his own home-makeover show on the DIY network?
Yes, this Vanilla Ice.
And it's actually pretty good.  I stayed up way late last night watching episode after episode.  It's the only home makeover show with street cred, duh!

In other t.v. news, is anyone else watching the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?  Such the HTM.  Seriously.  But, it's addicting.

I've had the 'black lung' all week and have been hacking my brains.  Unluxury.

Also, I'm kind of ready for Halloween to be over and for Thanksgiving & Christmas to be here.  I just really like listening to Christmas music.

Um,

My name is Danilee and apparently I have an obsession with pink lip gloss. These are only my 'leftovers', not counting what's in my bathroom and my purse. Yeah.

Seriously

My eyelid has been twitching ALL week it's driving me nuts and makes it extremely difficult to put eyeliner on. Whatever to that. So, I decided to Google my situation and this is what I found:

The primary causes of eye twitching are listed below. It's important to remember that this is a symptom of something else and not the illness itself. Once you identify and treat the underlying cause of your eye twitch you'll be able to free yourself from it.

Suprised?  Me neither. Apparently life makes your eye twitch. Maybe I should go to the doctor and get a prescription for a vacation!

Happy Birthday, Padre.

For my dad's birthday I had this really great idea to take pictures of us holding signs (which is strictly prohibited for weddings, FYI).  I think it turned out pretty good, except for I the fact that I refused to wear red lipstick and ended up looking washed out.  Whatever to that.

Fancy veggies

Yesterday my luxury neighbor Angela brought us over a fancy purple pepper. We made stir fry with it tonight and it tasted just like a normal pepper. Imagine that.

She also brought over her 'first' tomato of the season. I had it on my salad for lunch today. It kind of makes me wish I had a garden full of fresh vegetables. Then again that would require getting my hands dirty, so nevermind.

Anyway, thanks Angela!

Oh Hey, Fall. It's been a while.

It's beginning to feel a lot like Fall. (Which means Christmas is just around the corner. WHAT?!?). Anyway, I think Fall gets jipped a lot of the time, especially here in Utah where it goes from summer to winter in like a day. I love Fall and am really trying to appreciate this beautiful season.

The other night I made an apple crisp. It was very luxury. I bet you wish you were here to eat it. Sorry. The house smelled so good all night. I wish it was appropriate to have Fall smells all year round.

I have also been loving Stevie Wonder lately. Random. But, really I just like his music.

Also, I've decided that I like piano music. It's really quite beautiful to listen to. I think when I am older I am going to hire a professional to play piano music in my house. Fancy. (Or, I could just get one of the magic pianos.) I was watching 'Pride & Predjudice' today with 'The Gabes' and I just really liked the music (& that Mr. Darcy).

Have a happy day of non-laboring tomorrow. It's supposed to be in the 40's in the a.m. here.

Happy Birthday, Moim.

My mom had a birthday last week. She requested a chocolate cake with pink frosting. I very politely offered to go buy a cake, because I didn't feel like making a cake. So, we ended up making a cake, but frosted it and this is what happened:
Cake Fail

Other than the cake catastrophe, it was a luxury day. We went to Chilis, saw Nanny McPhee 2 (which was quite adorable) and visited with lots of friends.

Happy Birthday, Barbie! We love you.

The City of Angels

I flew down to Cali with our friends, the Pateys, to pick up Shacklyn and bring her back to Utah. We packed A LOT into 2 days. We went to the Dodgers game on the first night and had a wonderful time.

The next morning we went to Disneyland! We did everything, rode every ride (and didn't wait in any lines, luxury), and saw both big shows at the end of the night. Totally VIP, if you will. The younger boys were asking to 'please' go home at the end of the night because they were so worn out. It was a lot of fun to run around on a mission to get everything done.

The next day, Shlack and I hung out around Whittier and then went down to Downtown Disney for a movie. Unfortunately my Life Coach made a bad decision and wasn't in town. Whatever to her.
We saw these old people dancing while wearing matching outfits. Your team.

The next day we drove home.

The end.

Tired out

I don't have much to blog about. Just busy with work as usual.

I'm really looking forward to next week. I'm off to Cali to pick up
Shacklyn and drive her home.

I'm flying down on a private jet. Very luxury. (He was black.
Celebrity.). Hahahah.

Anywhoo, I'm so glad to have a few days off. I'm just getting too
tired out.

Too bad my Life Coach will not be in the greater Whittier area during
my vacation. Whatever to you!

J'aime

For those of y'all who don't speak French 'j'aime' means 'I love'. There are a few thing I've been loving lately.

-John Mayer

-the song 'Misery' by Maroon 5

-the movie 'The Young Victoria'. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it. Rupert Friend? Yes, please.

-summer thunderstorms. There is one happening right now and it's beautiful to listen to

- e.l.f cosmetics @ Target. Everything is way cheap and the quality is suprisingly good. I read about it on a beauty blog, so I bought some lip gloss and blush the other day and so far I'm impressed.

- dresses from Downeast. I like to dress 'fancy' and they have lots of fun things to wear.

- one thing I do not love is living out of a suitcase. I've pretty much been gone for the past 2 weeks. I'm looking forward to sleeping in my own bed. At least for a while until I'm off on another adventure.

- I've been loving hanging out with my cousins that have been up here from Texas. Kitty Kate has been really happy to me this trip. We're making great progress.

- I was down in Vegas last week for week and I went to see the Lion King one night. It was excellent. I would highly recommend it.

Anything you are loving that I need to know about?

As of late

I feel like Summer is happening without me this year. I guess that is
what happens when you're a grown up. I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Gone are the days of mornings spent at swim team and evenings spent in
the back yard putting on Spice Girl concerts for the 'England Boys'.
I miss those lazy summer days. A lot.

Now that I'm old I spend my summers working, business tripping,
thinking and plotting out the future. Not quite as much fun as being
at the pool all day.

I wish I could go back and be a carefree, daydreaming kid for a day. So tomorrow I'll sit at the pool and watch all te clouds go by. And maybe I'll listen to the Spice Girls.

A little part of my heart just died.

I'll be dreaming with a little bit of a broken heart tonight.

My boyfriend won't be in Utah next year. KK is gone!

I'll be consoling myself with some diet coke and John Mayer.

Anyone up for a trip to Chicago in October to see KK play with Bulls?

Happy Independence Day

While most of the world is out intheir patriotic get-ups, BBQ-ing and
setting off fire works, we are doing make-up for a 'California Gurls'
inspired photo shoot. (Check back later for pics.)

Hope you have a safe and happy 4th.

Mushaboom.

-I sincerely apologize for my lack of blogging. I'm just a little bit busy with work. (Story of my life). But, I am happy to be this busy, because we have had an 'amazing' month!!! We literally ran out of braces to put on people. My goal is to put braces on everyone that walks in the door.

-I watched the U.S. Open this weekend with my Pops. I love watching golf, but can not hit a ball to save my life. Also, I love the sound of 'golf claps'. Weird, I know. (I also love the sound that a car makes when driving on the freeway).

-I am off to California this week for a much needed vacation. Thank goodness. A couple of days in the sun is good for you. (Sidenote: I love Katy Perry's new song 'California Gurls'. It is slightly inappropriate. And I have been told before that I don't have the best taste in music, but it's the 'perfect' summer song.)

-Also, have you seen '500 days of Summer'? If not, you should. It's a very cute movie and the soundtrack is tres bien.

Danilee out.

Life.

You know what's funny? Just when you think you've got things figured out and then you realize you don't. I feel like I'm stuck in a never ending revolving door of uncertainty. (And, it kind of sucks.)

So, because I know that I have little control on everything going on around me, I will pretend I'm a kid again and watch Toy Story (1 & 2, it's a marathon on the Disney channel) with my mom and wish all my problems would go away.

A girl can only dream.

I'm a Gleek.

Do you watch Glee? If not you totally should. It's such a great show, plus Mr. Schu is x-exy. Also, Sue Sylvester is hilariuos.

The finale was this week and they sang this song:

Loves it.

A year ago today,

This young gentleman was born and I was heading down to Texas to see him. Wow, how time flies!
Happy Birthday 'Baby Will'

Monday, June 7, 2010

Right now,

I'm watching this movie with Cameo & The Gabes. If Kyle were here it
would be perfect.
