Oh Hey.

So Mark and I went up to the SLC tonight and ate at Ruth's Diner up the canyon.  Very fancy.  Afterwards we went to the Grand America to use the restroom, cause that's just what luxury people like us do.  Just thought I would recommend that to anyone traveling through SLC.

Wanderings.

So, it feels really weird not to be in school. I feel like a lost little puppy. I packed up all of my college stuff into storage bins and put it away. I had a nightmare the other night that I forgot to study for a test I ended up failing the class because of it. SCARY! I also had a charlie-horse in my leg the other night, it was very unluxury. I used to get them a lot when I was younger and growing quickly, but I haven't had one in a long time. In other exciting news, I am now the shortest person in my family. Gabs is only in 7th grade, and she's taller than me. That depressing. And, I'm really not all that short. Ok.  So, I'm feeling in a very random mood, so it will be interesting to see how this post ends....

This is the "Jesus" bag that we saw at the mall a while back.  It's a knock off of one of my real D&B's (I once put a pic of it on my blog in this post.)
Dear X-tina, here are a few pics of my new hairdo.  It is kind of hard to take pics of the back by myself, but this should give you a general idea.  When you come visit your luxury winter residence you should have my friend Suzie cut your hair the same way, she did a great job.  Also, isn't my sweater so cute?  Haha.

Camille successfully completed her first week of high school.  She is getting her braces off in 1 month, that's because my office uses luxury technology.  She hasn't even had her braces on for a year.  She will 'oh most definitely' not look 14.
This is an oldy, but a goody.  Jac, this might be the most flattering pic of you I have ever seen.  Haha.  Shackolina.

So, what else have I been doing?  Well, a lot of hanging out.  There was supposed to be a drive-in movie tonight, but somebody told us wrong, and I was none too happy about it.  So, we ended up walking at a park and when we were walking down the sidewalk, I saw something and said "Is that a dead bird?"  Mark informed me that it was just a piece of playground bark.  I felt a little stupid.  But, I am deathly afraid of getting the Avian bird flu.  So, i just like to be a little cautious/nervous pervous.  Also, my new fav thing is to go through the drive-thru at Hogi Yogi and get a cup of their pebble ice and nothing else.  It's very luxury.

Tomorrow I have many a things to do.  I feel like I need to have a productive day since I don't go to school anymore.  So, I will most definitely plan on blogging about some of my exciting summer adventures that have been neglected.

Happy Birthday Haydan Olivia!

We lova loo!

Didn't you know that boys are better!?!

Today I:
Went to work.  There was a massive fire on the Draper hill, and there was another mini-fire by my dear friend Stephanie's house.  It was almost too much for me to handle in one day.  During lunch my co-workers gave me a very luxury graduation gift:

Please don't ridicule me for having an unmade bed.  I wake up at 5:30 in the a.m.
I was very surprised!  I love it!  A girl can never have too many D&B's.  Thanks guys.

Then I went and got my haircut by my cute friend Suzie.  It was great to catch up with her and she gave me an adorable hairdo.  Pics are to come, I promise, X-tina.  Thanks again Suzie.

Then I drove home.  It was very windy and it looked like the world just might end, but everything was fine.  Thanks for your concern.

When I got home, my dear friend Mark texted me and told me he made a blog.  I was so happy because I love people to have blogs.  You all should read his blog because it mentions me.  Then Mark said that there was some activity going on within the ward and that we should probably go and see what the deal was.  So, we met up with Jac and her new love interest and we went laser tagging.  Now some people, X-tina, think that laser tagging is for young, awkward teenage boys who play Dungeons & Dragons, but I assure you that it is pretty fun, even if it is dirty and slightly immature.
I am proud to announce that I got #1.  This is such a major accomplishment in my life.  I would like to thank my parents for raising me to be a girl who knows how to use a gun, my self-defense coach who taught me how sneak up on people... (totally kidding).

So, the best part of the evening is when the laser tag guy comes to give us our scores and starts congratulating the other team on winning overall, and how it would have been embarrassing if they had lost, because we had more girls on our team.  ARE YOU SERIOUS? The guy continued to embarrass himself by making more sexist, derogatory comments.  Mark and I were looking at each other in disbelief.  It is amazing how many stupid people there are living in this world.

But, luckily, overall I had a very luxury day.  Ok.  Goodnight.  Sleep tight.

We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.

So, I've already proclaimed my love for Jason Mraz, but I just bought his entire new album (the first cd actually purchased in forever) and I have had it on repeat all afternoon.  Do yourself a favor and listen to it.  (pandora.com is a fav of mine).  The entire album is good.  Every song is like a mini-vaca.  And, he has one of the most x-e-x-y voices.  Swoon.

Sorry.

I know I've been a blog slacker lately, but it's pretty hard when I spend everyday with half of my blog reading audience.  I also apologize for the lack of comments on all of your blogs.  I know all of ya'll have probably been going through a lot of pain not being able to catch of up on my day to day ramblings.  Frankly, all of you have probably had rather unluxury days not being able to read a new post from me (haha!).  But, don't fear.  I have SO much to update on including: camping, fishing, birthdays, shopping, and definitely a lot of other naughty business.  I'll be back next week so be sure to come check everything out.

They just moved up the movie opening to November 21st.  Yay!  If you're a dork like me and can't wait, here is a link to a great trailer.

Hallelujah.

I'm a college graduate. That's highly luxury. I now have my BS in Biology, and I'm not b-s-ing you, it's for real. I'm so glad that chapter of my life is over, now it's on to dental school!

Better.

After watching this series of interviews with Stephenie Meyer, I better understand where she was coming from with the book. (Don't watch it if you haven't read most of the book.) It makes me feel a little bit better about how everything ended. I still have about 100 pages to read, so I can't yet give my final decision. The one thing I have noticed is that I haven't felt so rushed to read the 4th book. I read each of the other ones in 1 day, but it's been over a week and I'm still not done with this one. I'm hoping that it will be better the second time through.

And, I'm still really excited for the movie!

Lullaby

So, I've been awake since 8 AM Sunday Morning (It is now 10:30 PM Monday night).  Why am I still so awake?  Sometimes my brain just doesn't have an off switch.  It tends to be really problematic, especially when I have work in the morning.

Ok, so now I'm going to go listen to a little Michael Buble and do some relaxation techniques (right) and try to go to bed.

P.S.  My new fav show (The Secret Life of the American Teenager) is on tomorrow.  I know it's about teenage pregnancy and that it's like 7th Heaven 2.0 with all of the mellodramatic bits but I just love it.

P.P.S.  The comments have been a little sparse lately (besides Shannon).  So, please pick it up people!  Snap out of the vampire dreams!

You know what,

Stephenie Meyer,

I am over to you.

At least until the movie comes out.  If it's good, we may be able to salvage what we had.  Also, maybe if you write all of the books from Edward's point of view, I'd read your work again.

The release of this book was pretty much the only fun thing I had to look forward to all summer (well that and graduating!).  And I am so bummed now.  It's nothing like I thought it would be.  Eww, I'm just very disappointed.  I had high hopes.  I guess I'll just have to re-write the final book in my dreams.  (I make a better Bella anyway, so hah!)

Not very sincerely,
D

I think I can, I think I can.....

It's 3 am.  I'm up.  I'm 'trying' to study.  I'm so bored with statistics, who really cares anyway.  At this point, a D- is looking good!!  Haha.  Honestly, I think that if I just went and took the tests right now I'd walk out with at least a C so I'm feeling pretty good about the fact that I'm studying and putting some effort into it.  Let me just offer a little advice, don't plan on graduating at the end of Summer semester.  It's absolutely miserable.  I am very much hoping that this is the last time that I will stay up all night for at least the next year.  Keep your fingers crossed for me.  I desperately need some sleep.  But, the goal is very much in sight and at this point I think that I might just get there!

Spoiler Alert.

WARNING: IF YOU ARE READING THE 4th VAMPIRE BOOK AND ARE NOT YET TO THE SECOND BOOK WHERE JACOB STARTS NARRATING (HIGHLY UNLUXURY) THEN DO NOT WATCH THE FOLLOWING VIDEO.

Also, please take my poll.  I'm just curious to see what the target audience of my blog is.  Thanks!

For real.

This is not a joke.  As I am watching my Stats videos, this is what one of the discussions is about.  According to my Stats teacher I am not interesting and I'm a failure.  Great.  I about died from laughter while watching this.  It's awesome.

Dear Statistics,

I'm so over to you.

Love,
D

Guilty.

How wrong is it for me to be in love with a married vampire?  I swear I'm acting like a 13 year old.  But, the new Twilight book, Breaking Dawn, is SO good.  I've only read 100 pages and I'm already enraptured.  Needless to say I have a ton of homework I'm supposed to be doing, 6 tests to take within the next week and 4 papers to write.  Why does this book have to be so good?  Ahh.  I am definitely going to start looking for a vampire of my very own.

On another note, I 'hung out' with one of my really good friends for the first time this whole summer.  (I'm lame, I know.)  And it is just so nice to get to chit-chat and relax and be around a great friend.  (Shout-out 'Bird'!)

Classic Skating.

So, when babysitting, I think it is important to have lots of things planned so the kids aren't bored and sitting around the house all day long. Yesterday, was a jam packed day of fun. First, we went to the pool and swam for a few hours. Unfortunately I got totally burnt and am paying for it today. Afterwards we went to Classic Skating because it was dollar day. (Trust me, Classic Skating isnt' worth more than a dollar under any circumstances.) Let's just say that Classic Skating hasn't changed one bit since I went there as a young teenager. It's grimy, smelly and leaves you feeling like you need to bath in Purell after leaving. The same girls who are way to mature for their 13 years are still abundant, as well are the 13 year old boys who look like they're about 16. Let's just say that I'm sure there is a lot of naughty business going on within the groups of teenagers that hang out at Classic Skating. Most surprisingly, I saw a young teenage girl who was probably about 8 months pregnant out rollarblading on the rink. Interesting. After sitting there for about an hour and a half, I was so glad that I was no longer a teenager and that I could look upon these children with a sense of accomplishment that I never hung out at the Classic Skating like they were doing. Yikes. Seriously, if you ever have the chance to go the the Classic Skating, GO!!!! It's like a human experiment gone seriously wrong. It is some of the best people I've experienced in a while. Most importantly, the kids I am watching had fun and were completely oblivious to the wackiness going around them.
