Twilight.

So, I liked it.  I just didn't love it.  The book was soooooooooooooooooooooooo much better, but I think that is always to be expected.  It really bugged me that they didn't follow the book closely enough, everything felt out of synch.  I had my idea of what everything looked liked, and nothing was close, so that was just kinda weird.  Oh well.  Now, for a more in depth analysis, because I'm sure you all 'really' care what I thought.  :)

Observation #1:  I thought 'Emmett' was a lot hotter than 'Edward'.  Not really the best way to start out the movie.  ('My' Edward is just way better looking.)  I thought R. Patts did a very good job, but as far as the whole 'being the finest creature on the planet', not so much...
Observation #2:  The Cullen Family was hardly in the movie at all, which was weird.  Esme was only in like 2 scenes,  Jasper had like 1 line...   Plus, weren't Alice and Bella like 'friends'??

#3:  Why did they have to make Jacob cute?  I don't even read the wolf parts in the books.

#4:  Ok, the part where Edward sucks the venom out of Bella's arm was just bizarre.  Seriously, my friend Cassidee and I were hysterically laughing.

#5:  Overall it was just too awkward.  And, I'm usually fine with awkward.  But, there were parts in this movie that were just uncomfortable because they were so poorly filmed.  It wasn't as cute and lovey-dovey as it seems when I have read the book.  But whatever, I'm glad that I saw it and I am oh most definitely glad that I didn't see it at midnight.

Now, I'm off to find an Edward of my very own.  Ciao.

Okay, you read my review from the screening. I saw it a second time tonight (this was a planned group trip before I got the screening tickets). I loved it. Not nearly as akward or strange...

Well, now you have another reason to read the books again...to fall in like with Jacob now! I am reviewing it on my blog today.

Yeah, Emmett was hot! But you know who was the most hottest? Jacob! Zex-x-y! I was wondering though---you think he was wearing a wig? It would have taken soooo long to grown his hair that long. Ha ah. It was very fun to go with you. xoxoxo

Despite our conversation, I'm still not gonna go see it unless I have other people to go with me. You didn't exactly give it a great endorsement here anyway.

Oh, and good luck on finding your own creepy-but-hot vampire stalker who's either watching you sleep or wants to EAT YOU. I'm just saying. :)

I couldn't agree more. I thought it was ok. Not great. Not terrible. Okay. It was SO SO SO awkward at parts. *SPOILER* I died laughing at the part where Carlisle changed Edward. It looked like Carlisle was eating Edward! LOL!!! Carlisle wasn't nearly that passionate when he changed Esme. I didn't really like Alice. It didn't really show her and Bella becoming friends. I also thought the scene when they finally discuss the "vampire" issue was the very definition of AWKWARD!!! What in the world were they thinking?! It was all really poor acting and really rushed or forced. I did think that Kristen Swift did a good job. I didn't like her as Bella at first. Also, Charlie was really funny too. What are you thinking about the wolfy parts now that you've seen Jacob? LOL. Jacob will never be Edward.

Oh yeah...I forgot. What's up with Rosalie? She's not modelesque at all. She wasn't pretty or refined. Bella would not have been jealous of her. Rosalie seemed more GHETTO than anything else.

Prepared to be shocked.

I read the book this past weekend.

I am the odd-lady out, I thought it was totally mediocre and that the writing was pretty bad - BUT - I know it's for a Young Adult audience - so if I rewind time and think back to being 15 - I'm sure I would have loved it too.

Do you think it will be at the Dollar movie at Christmas?

i thought it was okay, too. not horrible, but not what i loved about the book. (i don't like sharkboy as jacob-i'm a huge fan of jacob...just not sharkboy.)

it's definitely geared to the teenage crowd and not so much those weirdo adults who are obsessed with the books (because those women could never be pleased). i don't know any of those people, though.;0)

I'm glad I didn't bother. What a waste.
