My Boyfriend is Hot (on and off the court)

Ok, I don't mean to bore you with 2 blogs within the space of 10 minutes, but who knows when I'll have the chance to blog again. Life is nothing less than CRAZY this semester. I have a few free minutes right now, so I will share some of my thoughts.

-I got the high score on my microbiology test. This is pretty luxury because it was a very hard/tricky test. I felt very proud of myself.

-I'm digging the new OneRepulic song "Stop and Stare." It's very good, ya'll should check it out.

-The Jazz have reclaimed the top spot in the Northwest division. Kyle helped win last nights game against Houston with 2 3-pointers with a few minutes to go. And then tonight he made an amazing 3-pointer in the last minute of the game to put the Spurs away for good. I work tomorrow, up in SLC, I wonder where the Jazz boys hang out?? Haha. JK. But, I'm planning on going to the game against Golden State on the 19th. That should be a good game, mainly because Baron Davis is a pretty amazing player. I wonder what it would take to trade him to our team?

-The weather in Utah is officially unluxury. We basically had a white out today. My poor Aunt Sara was involved in a massive pile-up, but escaped but was pretty beaten up. Her car was totalled. I'm a little nervous about driving to SLC in the morning.

-I still love Kyle Korver. I just thought I would put that in for good measure.

-I have a lucky Jazz sweatshirt, and whenever I wear it the Jazz win.

-I think that I'm going to finish writing my paper on the communication of plants using the underground information superhighway. Rather unluxury, yet still interesting. If I ever need to perform dental procedures on plants, I'll definitely know how they communicate. Yah. Good night.

Stand A Little Taller

As most of you know our beloved Prophet, President Gordon B. Hinckley passed away yesterday. He was such a wonderful example and such an inspiration. He is the prophet that I have grown up with, and it will be a little weird not to have him helping to encourage us on. President Hinckley always inspired the youth of the church to try to be a little better everyday. I found this great link with a few highlights of his life and talks:
And from it I pulled these little phrases which help to remind me of the wonderful spirit of our reveered prophet:
"Mediocrity will never do. You are capable of something better, give it your very best, you will never again have such an opportunity."
"Stand a little taller, rise a little higher, be a little better."
I will miss President Hinckley, but I know that the sweet reunion between him and Sister Hinckley must have been truly amazing.

I'm Not Blonde.....I Promise

Ok, so everyone has those times when they say things without thinking about them, or do really stupid things. Unfortunately some of us have this happen more than others. I had one such moment today, and it caused me to think back on some of the other "Blonde" moments I've had in my life. Here is a brief account.

-A couple of years ago we went to Hawaii in the middle of January, so when we flew back to SLC there was of course snow. My dad, being the very caring father that he is, parked the car in the parking garage so we wouldn't have to go through the hassle of getting on and off the buses. So, we walk into the garage and there are a bunch of cars with snow on them. So I say, "How did these cars get snow on them if they're inside??" DUH. Everyone had a good laugh at my expense.

-I get really confused whenever my dad tries to explain professional sports to me. I like to watch, but I really don't care if I understand.

-Whenever anyone tries to explain to me how to drive a manual transmission car, I get utterly confused and ask why you wouldn't just drive an automatic in the first place.

-To start I don't find this one particularly funny. But, one night I was playing this game with my friends, where you write down names of people and then you have to go around and try to get people to guess them. So, the name on the paper was Peewie Herman, and the clue was that he lived in a cartoon house on t.v. I blurted out Blue's Clue's and everyone immediately started laughing for like 5 minutes. To this day I don't even understand what was so funny. I guess it has to do with the fact that they're all like 5 years older than me, and I remind them of that often.

-So, ya know the song Feel Good Inc. by the Gorillaz? Well, there is a part at the beginning of the song, and I always sing it as "Shucka, Shucka" but one day while Jac and I were driving and I was singing along she said that wasn't right. Listen to the song, and I think you'll agree with me.

-One time my friend Stef and I were going to the movies. I pulled out my card to pay and put it through the machine. It didn't work and the lady told me to do it again. It kept saying there was an error reading the card, so the lady tried to do it on another machine, but it still wouldn't work. I KNEW there was money on it, so I was just like what the?? Finally I take a look at my card and realize it's my ATM card and not my debit card. Man did I feel stupid.

Ok, so I promise I'm not stupid!!! Really. I did very well on my microbiology test today, which was very hard. Sometimes I just think that I concentrate so hard on school, that when I'm not studying I let my mind relax a little too much. Oh well. It provides for a lot of good comic relief.

This is a how to guide to living a "Luxury Life." (It is meant for entertainment purposes only, and should be taken with a grain of salt. Hahahaha.) Only 95% of this is based on my actual life.

You must only shop at luxury stores.

You must have these luxury products in your purse at all times. Evian water bottle (do not refill with tap water).

Ipod Nano Razr phone (only pink).

You must listen to luxury music. Gwen Stefani

The Spice Girls

You must have luxury celebrity crushes. The athlete, Kyle Korver.
The actor, Orlando Bloom.
The musician, Chris Carrabba.

You must only use Bath and Body Works Sweet Pea bath products. Conditioner
Shampoo
Body Cream

You must only have Dooney & Bourke handbags and accessories. Luggage
Watches, "bling"
Purse
You must only wear perfume with pink packaging. Envy Me
Lili Bermuda
Pink Sugar
You must only drive luxury vehicles, and they must be black.
BMW
Cadillac
Porsche

You must only stay at hotels with the word "grand" in the title.
Grand America

You must only use luxury phrases, such as:
-"Hey, Ya'll!"

Most importantly, you must believe in yourself and have the mindset that you are luxury.

A Must See

I am usually not one to endorse going out and seeing R rated movies, but I highly recommend this one. Yes, it's bloody, but the blood looks very fake. It's a little gorry, but overall I think it is in a satiric manor. Plus, the soundtrack and acting are AMAZING. I've always thought Johnny Depp was genious, but this film puts him over the top. He acts, talks and sings in a British accent. So, go watch this movie. I'm sure you won't be dissappointed (you may not want to eat right beforehand!!).

Playing Catch Up

So, I've totally been a blog slacker the past little while. I will try to remedy this by catching up on all the goings-on in the past 2 weeks.

The week after Christmas, Chrissi, Don, Pete, and the kiddos came up to visit us. Apparantly, Gabby taught Haydan how to play her favorite game, ANTM (America's Next Top Model).:

We had lots of fun with them here. We went up to Soldier Hollow to go sledding, went to the Train restaurant in Heber (Grandpa's favorite) and did lots of shopping and playing. Chrissi also bought lots of clothes, most of which I already own. So, we could probably dress like twins for a week. (By the way Chrissi, I wore the dress today that we got like red and black, and it is very cute.)

Peter and I had planned on going skiing/snowboarding on friday after going sledding. Apparently my sister's were not to keen on this idea and complained that they were intentionally uninvited. This was definitely not the case. We just wanted to go and we didn't think it was that big of a deal. We ended up going with Don (who picked snowboarding right up after 10 years, way to go) and the Awkward. For the rest of the trip, Peter and I made sure to invite the girls EVERYWHERE we went, just to prove a point!

On saturday, Peter and I went up to my work Christmas party at the Little America. It was nice, but just not as luxury as the Grand America. Oh well. Peter also drove me past the Delta Center so that I could see the giant poster of D. Will hanging on the side of the building. That was highyly luxury. Thanks, Pete.

And then our luxury cousins had to go home. But, we are excited to go see them sometime soon.

And then, I started my final semester of school. I'm takng some killer classes this semester, so don't be surprised if this blog doesn't get updated all that often.

Last weekend I went to the Jazz game with my friends Stef, Rob, and Tyler. It was a lot of fun and luckily the Jazz won.

I decided that when I am a rich orthodontist, I will buy season tickets to the basketball team (which will not be Utah). Hopefully it'll be the Lakers.

So anyway, that is just a quick run down of things. I need to download the pics from my b-day and from the luxury Jazz game I attended last night. Look for that soon.

My New Boyfriend

Say hello to the newest Jazz member, Kyle Korver. Not only is he incrediby good looking, he happens to play very well. Kyle is an amazing free-throw shooter, and is hot behind the arc. We already have a date for tomorrow night. I'm so excited!!
