Drunken Texting

I must start this post by saying that I was not, nor have I ever been drunk. But, you know when you get those late night texts and you wake up like "Where am I?" Well, this seems to happen to me quite a bit. The sleeping habits of young people without familial responsibilities are random at best. I try to get to bed by 11 most nights, but there are many nights when I'm up till 2 or 3 doing who knows what, usually studying. So, when I'm up late, I sometimes like to see if other people are up. I'll just send the "Hey dude" text. And at least 1 person will be up and willing to talk to me in the middle of the night. I feel guilty about texting people in the middle of the night, on the off chance that they might be asleep.

I'm usually pretty good about putting my phone on silent when I go to sleep, but sometimes I forget. And then, there are other times when I'm completely asleep and I'll wake up and check my phone. I did this last night. I went to bed pretty early, at like 10. Around 11 I woke up and saw that I had 1 new message. I opened it and it was from my friend Elayna (HI!) telling me about a date she'd been on. I was all excited for her, and I tried to call her, but in my sleepiness I couldn't figure out how to use the phone. I think I sent her a message back telling her to call me tomorrow, but this morning when I woke up all of my outbox messages were deleted. Interesting.

So, the point of this long, boring post is just for me to say that if you contact me during the night, who knows what will happen. I've had friends call at like 4 in the morning and I've had entire conversations that I couldn't remember the next day. I've heard that texting while drunk is a bad idea, I would like to add that texting while sleeping is also detrimental.

On another side note, I found this cool website online for a local magazine for college students. http://schooledmagazine.com/magazine.php
It has a bunch of fun stuff to read, so all of my college buddies should check it out.

Ok, I know I'm random, but that's why ya'll love me. I really want to go to Hawaii again. I want to go like tomorrow.

And, I have been listening to a lot of John Mayer lately. He's pretty amazing, and when he sings live it looks like he is making out with his microphone, slightly innapropriate yet funny.
Ciao ya'll.

Oh man, you have no idea how bad I am with having full out conversations with Marc while I'm still sleeping!! It's really not a good thing because apparently I agree to stange things during those convos....

Seriously, what is *up* with John Mayer and the faces he makes when he sings? It's painful for me to watch him sing - much prefer listening without watching him.

Also, what is up with texting? I guess I get it if you are sending out a mass message and can't get to a computer to email or if you want to get in touch with someone at night and don't want to risk waking them. Or if you are in class or something. But, I seriously do not get texting otherwise? Why not just call the person - the phone is already in your hand, so much easier to just press talk than to mess with all that typing.

Sigh.

Am I old, is that why I don't get it?
