Just because.

Interview #3 is at...

Western University in Pomona.

Needless to say, my life coach was very excited because of the proximity of the campus to her residence.

I was 'so' happy to get an interview.  Plus, I'll take any excuse I can get to go down to Cali.

I always go through the 'Expert Traveler' line at the airport.

I'm alive. Just in case any of you were wondering. I think that I travel more than any person I know.  I just don't like to be stuck in Utah for long periods of time.  And, since I try and be on vacation for as long as possible, I usually come back the night before I work for a long week.  As I sit here typing this I am forcing myself not to fall asleep.  I'm tired out.  Luckily, I work at a luxury office that isn't open on Fridays.  Yay for me.

So, let me tell you about my Texas adventure (This is mainly a recap for my life coach, because I know she was very upset that she couldn't just abandon Don for the week and come play with us).  I had a random stop in New Mexico coming and going.  It didn't look like a very exciting place to be.  When I got to Dallas I was greeted by my wonderful cousin, Jenn Jenn, and the kiddies.  We went to Savvy's first gymnastics class and she very much enjoyed it.  Then we went home and did luxury things.  We had a lot of fancy things to buy for Savvy's birthday, so there were many trips to Target and the party store.  I am always good for a good shopping day.  On Wednesday, the girlies both went to preschool so Jenn and I went and got facials and went to a very fancy restaurant for lunch and then we went to the mall.  (Of course I stopped by the Sephora and bought stuff I didn't 'need'.)  They have a very luxury mall in Dallas.  It made me jealous.  Whatever.  Also, one day Savvy and I went and got a 'Sprinkles' cupcake.  I was rather disappointed because they didn't seem to have many cupcakes with actual sprinkles.  Whatever.  Jenn and I watched 'The Bachelor' one evening.  It was 'amazing'.  Haha.  Then, on Saturday, Savvy had her 'Fancy Nancy' birthday party.  It was very fancy indeed.  I had a wonderful trip and I was very sad that I had to make a "bad decision" and come back to the real world.
Kitty Kate decided that she kind of liked me.

Ok, so I was in Dallas right after the inauguration.  One of Jenn's friends knew where George W. and Laura were going to be moving.  So, of course we had to do a drive by.  Sorry, the pic is a little fuzzy.  I was nervous that secret service would like come confiscate my iPhone, and heaven knows I would not be dealing with anything like that.

I'm back y'all.

I had a very luxury time in Texas. Now, I'm back to the snow in Utah. Ugh. I will update about my fun trip. In the mean time I am admiring my newly pink room. It it 'so' me. My dad even said so last night.

Epiphany.

Today I was helping my mom put away Christmas decorations (yes, I know it's a month later) and cleaning out our entertainment center. I was looking through a bunch of old pictures and I realized that I am oh most definitely a person who is supposed to have short hair. Some people (Camille) look gorgeous with hair down to their butt, I am not one of those people. When I was a senior in high school my hair was probably 4 or 5 inches past my shoulders, and it looked HORRIBLE. I really shouldn't ever let my hair get any more than an inch longer than my shoulders. And, even then it should be very layered. I just thought all of you would like to know this.

Also, if I ever say something crazy like 'I think I'm going to grow my hair out', please stop me immediately and direct me to my Sr. pictures.

Hola.

I've been really busy and so I apologize for my lack of blogging. I even completely forgot that there was a Jazz game last night. Luckily they won, even though I wasn't 'there' to coach them through the television.

A few quick things:

-I figured out how to buy songs from iTunes on my iPhone. This is very luxury.

-My new fav song is 'Heartless' by Kanye West.

-I switched purses last night. I always get a little bit nervous before I go on a vacation, because I wonder if I made a good decision and brought the right purse. L.C.: I brought by green one that I got a few months ago when I was with you. Is that a good decision?

-I have too much stuff. I really need to do some 'Spring cleaning'.

-My room is getting painted pink next week!

PETER:::::::::::

This is for you!

Lily Allen, 'The Fear'.

I know that made you laugh.

("I've been taken over by the fear")

*Please note that there is a very naughty word in the video. I'm sorry.

Watch out for flying Snowmen.

Today was not the best day. My mom was injured by a falling snowman decoration. It was nothing a loving neighbor and 5 stitches couldn't take care of. I came home to a lot of end-of-term chaos with Gabby. 4 hours later we are still doing math homework. Ugh. Then, my Jazz just lost to the WORST team in the NBA. I am ready for this day to be done with. I'm over to it.

But, luckily I am able to see the silver lining in all things. I got to spend the day with my friends at work. I drove the Porsche to and from work. And, I ended the day with a Diet Coke. All in all I think it was a success.

So,

I've started writing 5 different times today.  I've gotten about half way through what I wanted to say and then either decided that I didn't like where it was going or that no one would get what I was trying to say.  I'm in a rut.  If there was one word that could sum up how I feel about life right now it would be: blah.  What do I need to do to 'spice up my life'??

I'll start with this:

Get this...

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

I need a vacation.

So, pretty much all of you know by now that I'm not going to London anymore.  I kept having a funny feeling about going and after a lot of thought and prayer I knew that it just wasn't the 'right' thing for me to do.  But, I plan on traveling a lot before I go to dental school.
I am really trying to get my dad to take me to Hawaii this week.  I think it would be a great belated graduation trip!
I'll be heading down to Texas next week.  Yee-haw.
Of course I will be visiting my birthplace to spend time with my life coach.  I'm going to come in March for your birthday!!!  Ok?

(P.S. This is like the only picture of Whittier that is even recognizable that I could find on Google.  Weird.  It's like in the ghetto where X-tina used to live.)
And, I'm thinking that I might want to take a quick trip out to DC with my friend Mark.  Peter, please return my text.  Please and thank you.

Stop what you are doing...

And get to Target ASAP.  I just got this luxury new stuff for my bathroom.  The pictures don't even do it justice.  It's adorable.  I know that my life coach will be very upset because she doesn't even have another bathroom to decorate.

Look at the fancy toothbrush holder.
It is luxury to have KK stickers on your mirror.

If anyone would like to come and stay in my luxury residence, you are more than welcome.  (Except for Jacqueline.  You are oh most definitely not moving down to the basement!)

P.S.  Dear Andrea,
Please leave a comment on my blog so that I can read your blog too.  Please and thank you.

My new favorite song.

Isn't it lovely?

I had a Birthday, shout 'Hooray'!

First off I would like to thank everyone for all the love on my day of birth.  All of your calls, messages, emails, cards and gifts were wonderful!  You all made it a very luxury day.

I was greeted in the morning by these fancy notes on my bathroom mirror.
It is luxury to have a sister who is 'an official Disney representative.'
'Homeboy Industries, how may I help you?'
Of course KK wanted to wish a happy day!
I had to work on my birthday, which could have been rather unluxury.  But, luckily I work with very luxury people and they made sure I had a great day.  They even got me luxury cupcakes.  (FYI, I called cupcakes 'muffcakes' when I was little.  Awww, cute.)

You can read more about me here and here.

Runner-up

This lady is giving Mariah a run for her money for 'Hot Mess Queen'.

Shacklyn,
Remember when Mason used to sing 'Amazing Grace' and cry?? I miss that kid.

If you looked up "Hot Mess" in the dictionary...

You would find this:

Dear Mariah,
I didn't know it was possible to completely butcher one of your own songs. This has been one of my favorite songs for a long time. In fact it was the first 'cd' I ever bought. But, now I have tainted memories. Thanks for ruining 'Hero' for me, Mimi.

Love,
D

Just for comparison, here is the original version:

'So' much better.

Oops.

I just freaked myself out really bad.  I am getting ready for bed and cleaning my room.  Out of the corner of my eye I saw something and screamed.  Upon further observation I realized that it was just my shadow.  Oh wow.

(It was probably residual fear from being attacked by a reindeer back in November.  Thanks Peter and Jacqueline.)

'Festivus for the rest of us.'

I had a very nice Holiday celebration this year.  Mostly because I spent a lot of time with this fine woman:
Please call 1-800-xtina-4you for all of your life coaching needs.  She gives very good advice!

So, this may just be my longest post ever, but I wanted to get everything in.  There are a lot of pics, so that should be luxury.  Our Holiday festivities started off on Christmas day when Jenn Jenn and family came over for dinner.

Kitty Kate finally decided that she 'kind of' likes other people besides her mom.
Oh Shacklyn.

Then, the day after Christmas the Basker's arrived.  They had been praying for snow and they were not disappointed.
Mr. Basker himself.
Gabby seemed to be the 'favorite'.  Whatever to her.
They came equipped with snow attire.  (Note Gavin's pink gloves!)
Haydie the ski bunny.

These two slowly became friends.
This pic pretty much sums up Jac's happy existence.
He has a lot of orders.
Haydan was always a little cautious around Dooney.

One day we went to Cabelas.  I have never been there before, and it oh most definitely was not disappointing.
Trailer Christmas light for you trailer!

Camille didn't quite get the whole Cabela's experience.
This kid definitely enjoyed all that Cabelas had to offer.

Gabes was very impressed as well.

Haydan liked all the little animals.
The crew.  And, proof for Peter that Don wore the Nordic sweater.
Just in case anyone was wondering, this is what I want for my birthday.
You know, just some of Utah's local wild life.
With the fishies.

After going to Cabelas we drove up to Salt Lake.  Don drove us to the Capitol Building and we tried to look for KK's house ( I really have NO clue where it is, we were just driving in fancy neighborhoods).  And then we went to the Mayan for dinner.
These two gals were reunited and had a very nice time.
Right after this pic was taken, Haydan went over to her mom to tell her there was too much naughty business going on.

Gabes was having a 'teenage moment'.
Mr. Business.
Oh cute.
Everyone just loves this kid.
Ewww.

This scary man came and tried to steal my camera.
Kate very much enjoyed the diving show.  I had to hold onto her so she didn't jump into the pool herself.

Then, after going to the Mayan, we went to Temple Square.  But, we parked at the Grand America (just cause we're luxury like that) and rode the Trax (so Gavin could ride a train.)

These two were doing naughty business.  You are not supposed to stand on the yellow line!

One night we went to dinner at a Mexican restaurant.

One day we went up to Soldier Hollow to go sledding.  It was a beautiful, clear day.  Last year it was snowing the whole time.  That's unluxury.  Of course, afterward we went to the 'train restaurant' for lunch.

Haydan was 'over to the snow' after about 30 minutes.
Savvy figured out that you can just have the older people pull you around everywhere.

Gavin went down the hill all by himself!

New Year's Eve was fun too.  We had everyone over at our house for dinner.  Gavin was a little tired out.  He fell asleep at the table.

Scacklyn got all fancied up for a church dance.
I put 'fancy' makeup on Haydan.

And then of course Bronte had to get in on the sparkle action.
Bronte was the only kid who stayed up late.

My Grandma came over too.

Shacklyn and Mermaid getting ready to head out.  I was safely in bed around 11:30.  Unfortunately everyone made a bad decision and left early the next morning.  Now, it is very boring and quiet around our house.

(Peter, Uncle Peter also came, but apparently they were not taking calls to have their photos taken.)
